Branden Flasch’s EV charging education started behind the wheel: tens of thousands of road-trip miles through all 48 contiguous states, learning firsthand what makes a charging stop great — or a disaster. That driver’s-eye obsession became a career.

At Circle K, he owned charger hardware configuration, procurement, and site design for the North American charging program. In 2023 he joined Alpitronic as the second hire in North America, when the company had effectively no chargers deployed in the region. By the time he left, Alpitronic was the #2 fast-charging hardware supplier in the US. He started in technical sales, building the go-to-market and supporting early customers, then moved into application engineering: vehicle-charger interoperability (CCS/NACS, ISO 15118, OCPP), field performance analysis, and the driver experience.

Today Branden is a Partner Success Manager at Presto, working with charging network partners to grow utilization through fleet demand — the same things he cared about as a road-tripper, from yet another side of the connector.

He also shares what he learns: data-driven charging analysis and EV content on YouTube and LinkedIn, plus open tools for charging session forensics and site modeling. He has long-term ownership experience with the Ford F-150 Lightning, Tesla Model Y, Rivian R1T, Tesla Model S, Volkswagen ID.4, MINI Cooper SE, Polestar 2, and Chevrolet Volt. In 2022, Business Insider named him to its 35 Under 35 in the EV industry.
